The following are an indication only of likely procedures once contact has been accepted.
- The Seller contacts us, preferably by email (Email: mail@raremetalsreclamation.co.uk), indicating the product, approximate quality and quantity he has for sale.
- We may request verifiable information that will give us a degree of confidence in your ability to perform.
- Upon the Buyer expressing an interest we will request a sample of product for comparative analysis.
- Assuming the sample is acceptable, the Buyer will request an introduction.
- Upon reaching an agreement to buy and sell, the Buyer may at his discretion request an S.G.S Inspection that will include random samples being taken for assessment. the product will be sealed by S.G.S and shipped with seals intact at the earliest opportunity. Consignments that arrive with broken, defaced or missing seals with not be accepted unless accompanied by a certificate of customs inspection indicating that the seals were broken for customs inspection purposes. Inspecting officers will replace S.G.S Seals with marked customs seals.
- Product is shipped to Prot of Exit preferably by secure transport.
The use of Bonded warehousing is to protect the Buyer and Seller. The Buyer shall become the Importer once the first condition is met.
- On arrival at Port of Entry the described consignment must be placed into a Customs bonded Warehouse. Seals will be inspected and product weighed at this point.
- The Importer shall pay all UK import duties, taxes and VAT.
- The described consignment shall be delivered directly by secure transport to the refinery.
- The Buyer shall arrange transport and accompany the Seller's authorised representative to the refinery. Seals will be broken and removed in his presence.
- On completion of refining and weighing, (approximately 5 days). Payment will be effected according to the Seller's written instructions.
- There shall be no pre-payment for any purpose or reason.
- The Buyer's only responsibility is to the safe keeping of the described consignment through his security agents.
- The Buyer will not arrange accommodation for, or be held responsible for the personal security of the Seller or his representatives/
- Consignments of base metals shall follow similar procedures taking into account the volume of product.
- The decision of S.G.S Representatives shall be accepted by the Seller as final.
